Teaching is a career where you will never stop learning and developing your practice to embrace new research, new technology, and new strategies. But at the heart it is always going to be trying to prepare ākonga for the world they will step into. For this, I am going to be forever grateful for the mentor teachers and staff at the schools who have taken an ignorant adult student and guided her towards being an educator with a passion for knowledge.
